The organ of the Basilica of Santa Maria di Castello was installed by the company Mascioni in Azzio Cuvio (VA) in 1967 and was opened June 17, 1968 (Vincenzo Mascioni op. 889). The tool is the direct descendant of the previous organ, always by the Company Mascioni, built in 1915 (op. 333) and equipped with two keyboards of 58 notes each, a pedal of 27 notes, 30 registers and pneumatic transmission. During the renovation of 1967, the two keyboards were brought to 61 keys and pedals 32 and was revised with the addition of voice registers 4 and total reorganization of sound sources and the reorganization of all the material.
