The Musical Association "AMICI DELL'ORGANO" (Pipe organ's friends) was founded in Genoa in 1981 with the aim to "promote, non-profit, knowledge and the dissemination of organ music through concerts, seminars, meetings and any activity likely to this purpose" (Statute - Art. 2).
Since its foundation, the Association used to organize its activities in two annual concert series whose purpose, not secondary, is also to promote the pipe organs of historical and artistic interest in our region:
In 2013 the Association was forced to stop the activity for lack of funding, but in 2014 resumed in collaboration with "I Concerti di San Torpete" until 2018.
All concerts have always been held with free entry.
The President of the Association is prof. Luisella Ginanni, wife of prof. Emilio Traverso, founder of the Association, who prematurely died April 23, 2007.
